Nepal's first and most famous National park is situated in the Inner Terai lowlands of Chitwan. Covering an area of 932 sq. kilometers, the park includes hilly areas of the Shivalik Range covered by deciduous trees. Parts of the park are flood plains of the rivers; Narayani, Rapti, and the Reu. These floodplains are covered by dense tall elephant grass, forests of silk cotton, acacia and Sisam trees. Chitwan National Park was officially established in 1973 and included as a World Heritage Site in 1984.

Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu to approx. 3 hours’ drive to starting point Charaudi 85 KM and do raft for about 4 hours. Overnight at Kurintar in tented camp. (BLD)
Day 2: Early morning hiking to Manakamana (Optional by Cable Car). After return back from Manakamana drive to Chitwan approx. 3 hours by tourist bus, transfer to hotel, Welcome drinks, Evening walk and Tharu cultural show. Overnight at Hotel (Seven Star). (B.L.D)
Day 3: Morning breakfast and Elephant Back Safari, Jungle walk, Canoeing trip, Tharu village visit, bird watching. Overnight at Hotel (Seven Star). (B.L.D)
Day 4: After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu approx. 4-5 hours (Flight is optional). Overnight at Hotel Holy Himalaya. (B)
Day 5: After breakfast, transfer to airport for your International departure. (B)

3. Payment of the Balance
Rest amount can be paid before a month of your arrival. If you choose to settle your holiday balance by credit card a handling charge of  4% on the outstanding balance is made. There is no handling charge for payment by bank transfer.

When and where should you arrive?
Please book your international flight to arrive and depart from Kathmandu international airport. The tour starts when we receive you airport tour ends when we drop you.

You will be met outside the Kathmandu international airport terminal by a driver holding a Himalayan Social Journey placard and he will escort you to the Hotel.

How many people in each room?
There will be two people accommodated in each room for the duration of the tour. If you prefer private accommodation, you'll find the option for "single supplement".

Tour
Our tour will be in  Chitwan where you can reach by drive 5/6 hrs and flight 30 min from Kathmandu. You do not need to prepare for the tour by suitable training such as climbing hills or stairs, jogging, and spending some time in the gym to improve your stamina for a few months prior to the tour. 
   If you have normal health issues please do not worry for this tour. This tour  offers  adventure experience by doing Rafting in Trishuli river  and  wildlife  experience and different  jungle activities in Chitwan

Which currencies are accepted in Nepal?  Some major currencies (USD, AUD, EURO) are accepted for both visas and in general. There are plenty of ATM's in both Kathmandu and Pokhara and credit cards are accepted in limited shops and many restaurants. Please note that only Nepali rupees are accepted on the tour

Visa
You can get a visa in Kathmandu airport upon arrival for $25 USD (or equivalent in other major currencies) for a 15-day visa or $40 USD for a 30-day visa. Please bring 2 photos for the visa. Expect to have some waiting time in the queue for obtaining your visa. You can also get your visa prior to coming on the tour by contacting your closest Nepali embassy. 

Is there an Orientation program?
 Yes, the orientation will be at the Hotel Holy Himalaya at Kathmandu after your arrival and before starting the tour. The orientation meeting is scheduled for the evening on the first of the tour. Generally, the orientation meeting will be at 5 or 6 pm and this will be posted upon your arrival at the hotel.
 
How large is each tour group?
For each tour date, there will be several separate groups. Each group will have a maximum of 10 people with its own experienced English speaking guide. During the tour, there will be a guide and driver. Certain activities such as traveling, farewell dinner, and yoga might be done in larger groups.

Where will I stay during the tour?
In Kathmandu, we will be staying at the Hotel Holy Himalaya or a similar quality hotel. These places come highly recommended but please don't expect a European standard of hotel. 
These hotels are good, clean tourist hotels and are a good quality by Nepali standards. In Chitwan, we stay at Hotel parkland or at Hotel Rainforest.

What do we eat?
The lunches and dinners in Kathmandu are not covered by the tour and will cost from $4 to $6 depending on meal items and restaurant category

Travel Insurance?
It is strongly advised that you get traveler's insurance. Please consult with your travel agent to choose a suitable insurance company. 
Insure and Go (click) or World Nomads (click) are two possible insurance companies. Travel insurance is compulsory for all clients taking the EBC or Annapurna Circuit treks. It should provide adequate protection for the full duration of the tour to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, air ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.

What is the weather like in Nepal?
The width of Nepal is only about 200 km on an average, but within this short distance, the altitude of the land rises from 60 m up to 8,848 m. Hence the weather depends upon the altitude of the place in Nepal. However, in general, Nepal has four climatic seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, and Winter.
Spring starts from March to May. The temperature of this season fluctuates between 20C to 30C (68F to 86F). Summer starts from June last to August. These are also the monsoon months with occasional evening-thunderstorms and hot temperature. Autumn starts from late September and ends by November. During this period, the climate is generally dry and mild with temperature fluctuating between 20C to 30C (68F to 86F). Winter starts from December till February. The mornings and evenings are very cold while the afternoon is pretty sunny. The temperature during these months rises from 10C to 20C (59F to 68F). At higher altitudes, it is cold during the winter months. 

How much money for my personal expenses?
It’s difficult to give an exact amount of money that you should bring. Costs will vary according to how much  you want to spend  for shopping and where and what meals (lunch& dinner) you want to eat . Only Nepali rupees are accepted on the tour
